February 13th enjoy African art, cuisine, and even a drum circle for free! From 12-4 enjoy Lonestar, music, and doggy treats at the Pets Alive benefit party. And yes, I realize the Second Sunday Sock-Hop is not free, but it's Mardi-Gras-Edition and my birthday eve. So celebrate! Or I guess you could be a gore-whore and attend the My Bloody Valentine pub crawl instead. Well, well, w3ll... Champagne? Goodies? Free brow threading? Open bar. Private venue. The 17th is the celebration of the Year of the Tiger at Imperia. Get there at 7 for passed h'ors douevres amongst other things...

February 18th from 7-9 hit Austin Art Garage for what else? Reception. But the only thing worth doing that is going to the HOPE Farmer's Market benefit which is chock full of local food, liquors, and artists. $10 suggested donation (note it is postponed to this date from the original date due to inclimate weather on 1/28). Lulumelon will be hosting a kick off party with free gift bags and vodka cocktails from 7-9. Hit Estilo for dj's, drinks and a fabulous, fashion preview from 6-9! Hit the free cocktails and treats here from 7-9. Around the same time you can visit Beyond Tradition for cocktails and appetizers as you celebrate their anniversary!

The 19th, don't miss another fantastic Misprint party. Just don't. And if you haven't been to one before... Still don't, but go to the Greenling local tasting soiree first! Local food and wine and beer galore! Free! It's 6:30 at Rio Brasilian Cafe. I've said it before, I'll say it again, these parties, this company, this food, and the entire concept is simply tops to me. Art and food and wine and the usual at City Hall. Also? Go to Loft and get a free book and some champagne!! Hit Music Gym for a "variety of free booze" but try and make that $5 suggested donation, would ya?
