I strongly urge that you join the Fado mailing list, at least if you want a free round of pints and an appetizer for you and your friends Thursday and Friday. August 6th is pretty exciting for oenophiles like me. The Slow Food fanatics are hosting a learn-to-make-your-own-wine session with apps provided and all encouraged to bring more. It's also Warhol's birthday and Bird's is celebrating with free Bacardi at their pre-party from 5-8 at their SoCo location. You can also score some free cookies and Bacardi from them in various ways both now and in weeks to come. From 7-10 you can go to Prototype Vintage to celebrate their recent expansion with what Tribeza refers to as "Refreshments, revelry, and righteous tunes."
Friday, you can hit the pop-up boutique at Cuba Libre. Or just watch Grease for free on the veranda at Whole Foods.
Saturday the 8th at 7:30 p.m. show up in black and white 70's gear (optional) and enjoy nibbles, libations, door prizes, and some hot yoga fun at Black Swan. Sunday the 9th is free wine tastings in the hill country. Both Saturday and Sunday at Momoko enjoy samples of the new line of food and drink and up to half off items in the store (at least for the first 100 customers in each day). Sunday at 4, rumor is there will be a WuTang pre-party with beer and more at Complete Clothing.
