I love gloves. I really do, and moving to the North Pole (England) is only increasing my desire for them. I could eBay some old Marc Jacobs 2003 fingerless cable knit's, but why not pick up a skill. There's some pretty amazing things you can do with knit (shown above a creation by Austin's own host of the DIY Network's Knitty Gritty). I'm heading to About.com and learning how to do this:

That is not the yarn to use when you are learning how to knit. Get a nice worsted.

If you can get your hands on the book "Wild Knitting" it shows you how to create your own knitting patterns.
